Typetour of Typographic Rimini

English / Inglese

WTR03-1.jpg

Rimini, renowned for it’s marina and beach resort and a popular destination for European holidaymakers, is also a city with a history. With a past that has been marked by both emperors and the church the streets of Rimini are full of typographic treasures that bear witness to its history; some of which date back to 27 BC. Take a walking tour of typographic Rimini and you will see the Arco d’Augusto and the Ponte Tiberio with its beautiful but fading inscriptions; the piazza Cavour with its hidden typographic delicacies; and the Tempio Malatestiano, where the lettering was made as a romantic demonstration of the creators love for his wife.
